First Run

When you first launch NoteDrop, you'll see a welcome guide that walks you through setup.

Welcome Wizard

The onboarding wizard guides you through:

  1. Welcome

    Introduction to NoteDrop and its core concept.

  2. Industry Selection

    Choose your profession (Legal, Medical, Real Estate, Accounting, Generic, or Simple). This configures PDF labels and folder parsing.

  3. Ways to Create

    The entry points: menu bar, keyboard shortcut, and Finder right-click.

  4. Finder Extension

    Instructions for enabling the optional Finder extension for right-click access.

  5. Folder Detection

    How NoteDrop recognises your project folders.

  6. PDF Output

    What a finished file note looks like.

  7. Your Details

    Firm and author names for the PDF header.

  8. Folder Access

    Grant access to your projects folder so notes save without prompting.
